Xtract-DDG
Xtract-DDG solubilizing reagent
Biological information
Xtract-DDG or N-(2-methyl-1,3-bis(O-β-D-Glucose)propan-2-yl)-3-(decylthio)propanamide solubilizing reagent is a non-ionic amphiphilic detergent and surfactant with a di-glucose polar group and decyl chain. Hence is not sensitive to ionic strengths or pH variations. It is well conformed to extract, to solubilize and to stabilize specific membrane proteins of exceptional medical relevance. DDG is in a powder application and is used in an aqueous solution or buffer. DDG can be coupled with biological elements (biological membranes). Our clients use DDG to help create lipids-detergents mixed micelles, and protein detergent micelles. DDG extract high-quality membrane proteins used for research, drug discovery including structural studies and are adapted for use in pharmaceutical, biotechnology companies, as well as for academic teams (biochemists, structural biologists, pharmacologists, virologists) involved in the life science fields.
