Information

Gene Symbol: ESR2
Gene ID: 2100
Uniprot ID: ESR2_HUMAN
Immunogen Region: 71-120 aa
Specificity: Phospho-ER Beta (S105) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of ER Beta protein only when phosphorylated at S105.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from the human Estrogen Receptor-beta around the phosphorylation site of Ser105 at the amino acid range 71-120

Description

Post Translational Modifications Phosphorylation at Ser-87 and Ser-105 recruits NCOA1.
Function Nuclear hormone receptor. Binds estrogens with an affinity similar to that of ESR1/ER-alpha, and activates expression of reporter genes containing estrogen response elements (ERE) in an estrogen-dependent manner. Isoform 2: Lacks ligand binding ability and has no or only very low ERE binding activity resulting in the loss of ligand-dependent transactivation ability.
