Additional Information | Description: CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-anchored molecule and one of the smallest members of the immunoglobulin superfamily consisting of a single V-set domain. The Thy-1.2 alloantigen is expressed on all thymocytes, peripheral T lymphocytes, and some intraepithelial T cells of most mouse strains. It is also expressed in the brain and at varying levels on other non-lymphoid tissues. The 30-H12 monoclonal antibody does not cross react with mouse and rat strains bearing the Thy-1.1 alloantigen (e.g., AKR/J, PL). |
Reconstitution and Storage | Store at 2-8C |
Immunogen | Mouse thymus or spleen |
Concentration | 0.1 mg/mL |
Specificity | CD90.2 |
Characterization | To insure lot- to- lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by flow cytometry to conform with thecharacteristics of a standard reference reagent. Representative flow data are included with this productinsert. |
Warning | Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash withcopious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yieldstoxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide- containing compounds in running water beforediscarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing. |

Gene Symbol | THY1 |
Gene Full Name | Thy-1 membrane glycoprotein |
Alias Symbols | T25, CD90, Thy-1, Thy1.1, Thy1.2, Thy-1.2 |
NCBI Gene Id | 21838 |
Protein Name | thy-1 membrane glycoprotein |
Description of Target | This gene encodes a glycoprotein that is anchored to the cell surface of thymocytes, neuronal and other cells through a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol moiety. A soluble form of the encoded protein has also been detected in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. The encoded protein undergoes further processing to generate the mature protein which mediates cell-cell interactions to trigger downstream signaling pathways. |
