Datasheets/ManualsPrintable datasheet for anti-IKBKB (ARP32665_P050-HRP) antibody
Product Info
Predicted Species ReactivityHuman, Mouse, Rat, Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Rabbit
Product FormatLiquid. Purified antibody is supplied in high phosphate PBS, 100 mm phosphate, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.6.
ClonalityPolyclonal
HostRabbit
ConjugationHRP: Horseradish Peroxidase
ApplicationWB
Reconstitution and StorageAll conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
ImmunogenThe immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human IKBKB
PurificationAffinity Purified
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceCow: 93%; Dog: 93%; Guinea Pig: 100%; Horse: 100%; Human: 100%; Mouse: 100%; Rabbit: 93%; Rat: 100%
Peptide SequenceSynthetic peptide located within the following region: CITGFRPFLPNWQPVQWHSKVRQKSEVDIVVSEDLNGTVKFSSSLPYPNN

Gene Full NameInhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, kinase beta
Alias SymbolsIKK2, IKKB, IMD15, IMD15A, IMD15B, NFKBIKB, IKK-beta
NCBI Gene Id3551
Protein NameInhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit beta
Description of TargetNFKB1 or NFKB2 is bound to REL, RELA, or RELB to form the NFKB complex. The NFKB complex is inhibited by I-kappa-B proteins (NFKBIA or NFKBIB), which inactivate NF-kappa-B by trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on the I-kappa-B proteins by kinases (IKBKA or IKBKB) marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thereby allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B complex. Activated NFKB complex translocates into the nucleus and binds DNA at kappa-B-binding motifs such as 5-prime GGGRNNYYCC 3-prime or 5-prime HGGARNYYCC 3-prime (where H is A, C, or T; R is an A or G purine; and Y is a C or T pyrimidine).NFKB1 (MIM 164011) or NFKB2 (MIM 164012) is bound to REL (MIM 164910), RELA (MIM 164014), or RELB (MIM 604758) to form the NFKB complex. The NFKB complex is inhibited by I-kappa-B proteins (NFKBIA, MIM 164008, or NFKBIB, MIM 604495), which inactivate NF-kappa-B by trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on the I-kappa-B proteins by kinases (IKBKA, MIM 600664, or IKBKB) marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thereby allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B complex. Activated NFKB complex translocates into the nucleus and binds DNA at kappa-B-binding motifs such as 5-prime GGGRNNYYCC 3-prime or 5-prime HGGARNYYCC 3-prime (where H is A, C, or T; R is an A or G purine; and Y is a C or T pyrimidine).[supplied by OMIM].
