Background

p35, is a neuron specific activator of CDK5. Also known as Cdk5r1 (Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activator 1), the complex p35/CDK5 is required for neurite outgrowth and cortical lamination. It is involved in dendritic spine morphogenesis by mediating the EFNA1-EPHA4 signaling. Activator of TPKII. The complex p35/CDK5 participates in the regulation of the circadian clock by modulating the function of CLOCK protein: phosphorylates CLOCK at Thr-451 and Thr-461 and regulates the transcriptional activity of the CLOCK-ARNTL/BMAL1 heterodimer in association with altered stability and subcellular distribution. Diseases associated with CDK5R1 include Alzheimer Disease and Non-Syndromic Intellectual Disability. Anti-p35/Cdk5 Antibody is useful for researchers interested in Alzheimer researcher, protein kinase binding, Neuroscience Research, and Cancer Research.

Conjugated Peptide
Anti-p35/Cdk5 antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a near N-terminal portion of mouse p35/Cdk5 conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH).
This affinity purified antibody is directed against mouse p35/Cdk5.  This product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification.  A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with the antigen based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence to rat, human, bovine, and Spermophilus citellus.
