The quantity of medium must be carefully controlled. The recommended working volume for CommaClean® Erlenmeyer flasks of 3 litres or less is 30-40% of the volume, and 50-70% above 3 litres.

The speed of agitation required for CommaClean® Erlenmeyer flasks is determined by the working volume, the amplitude of agitation (orbital diameter), the cell line, the type of medium, the presence or absence of a baffled bottom and many other factors.

The recommended stirring speed for CommaClean® Erlenmeyer flasks is generally 75 rpm to 125 rpm. Pay attention to the water level for the liquid vibratory shaker and the temperature for the gas vibratory shaker.
