Size exclusion resin (SEC) - 3-70 kDa
The type of resin used and the length of the column play a critical role in solving SEC-separated proteins. The choice of the resin depends on the molecular weight of the proteins that require separation and the conditions under which the separation will be performed.
ProteoSEC resins are preparative grade resins with high cross-linking performance. It is a filtration gel based on agarose designed for the preparative purification of biological molecules. Gel filtration is an efficient technique widely used for the separation of molecules depending on their size.
The 3-70 kDa HR resin is a resin with a separation range of 3 to 70 kDa which is comparable to other commercially available resins such as Superdex resin 75 pg (3-70 HR). This resin is therefore intended for preparative purification of low molecular weight biological molecules.
