CET specializes in stem cell research, tissue engineering and cancer biology. CET develop media, provide and conduct research on stem cells obtained from human non-embryonic sources, such as adipose tissue, bone marrow, Wharton's jelly, umbilical cord blood, and placentas. In addition, CET's mission is to be a leading provider of induced pluripotent (IPS) stem cells derived from normal human volunteers and patients with various clinical conditions. The engineering focus is on preclinical drug discovery and high throughput drug screening and discovery applications for various human diseases. CET's cancer biology focus is on the isolation and culture of solid tumors from cancers of the breast, colon, kidney, lung, and prostate. |
