FLAC6 Reagent

FLAC6 or (4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,9,9,9-tridecafluorononylamine) lactobionamide solubilizing reagent is a non-ionic amphiphilic detergent / surfactant with a lactobionamide head group and a fluorinated chain. Therefore, FLAC6 is not sensitive to ionic strength or pH variations. FLAC6 is a very gentle non-ionic detergent and well conformed to extract, to solubilize and to stabilize specific membrane proteins. As it is indifferent to ionic strength or pH variations it is ideal to extract, solubilize and stabilize particular membrane proteins of high medical relevance. FLAC6 is manufactured into a powder form and is used in an aqueous solution or buffer. FLAC6 can be combined with biological substances (biological membranes). FLAC6 is designed for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as-well-as for academic teams (biochemists, structural biologists, pharmacologists, virologists) that are involved in the life science fields.
